Career highlights
Mastering Departmental Documentation: From 2016 to 2023, I served as the lead document developer for my department, a role that encompassed the creation, management, and continuous improvement of all procedures, policies, and reference documents. When I first took on the responsibility, there were no standardized documents in place. Over the years, I meticulously developed and refined comprehensive documentation, ensuring they were always up to date and aligned with audit findings and corrective actions. In this capacity, I was responsible for guiding and mentoring team members through the intricacies of the department’s policies, conducting inductions for new employees, and facilitating discussions to incorporate any necessary changes. This involved not only maintaining procedural integrity but also ensuring that all forms, stakeholder maps, charters for various committees, and other critical documents were meticulously crafted and updated. I also played a key role in participating in multiple audits, ensuring that every document met compliance standards and that any discrepancies were promptly addressed. My role evolved beyond simple documentation to encompass strategic and internal communications, and even elements of project management. This comprehensive approach ensured that all documents and procedures were not only accurate but also aligned with best practices and organizational goals.
UAE Hosts INLA: A Landmark Summit: In 2018, I led the project management of the 23rd Nuclear Inter Jura Congress, making history as the first time the INLA convened in the UAE. As the project manager, I orchestrated everything from securing the event bid in France to organizing the summit in Abu Dhabi. This included detailed coordination of hotel arrangements, catering, and sponsorship from Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation. I also collaborated closely with the Ambassador of Energy to ensure impactful speeches and engaged the Department of Culture and Tourism to craft enriching experiences for attendees and their families. This collaboration brought about memorable tours of Abu Dhabi’s landmarks, including the Louvre Abu Dhabi and the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque. The event also featured dual agendas, ensuring engaging content for both the INLA members and their families. This comprehensive approach highlighted my expertise in managing large-scale international events with precision and care.
All-Staff Summit: A standout highlight in my career was leading the comprehensive project management of a major event that brought together teams from Barakah and South Korea. The event physically catered to around 800 attendees, including not just our employees, but also board members, ensuring seamless coordination of presentations, keynotes, and key messaging. Additionally, I oversaw the entire remote engagement for about 1,200 participants in Barakah and around 50 colleagues from South Korea, ensuring a cohesive experience for everyone. My role encompassed the full spectrum of coordination, culminating in a successful awards ceremony that celebrated our collective achievements.
Mastering the HQ Shift: One of the proudest highlights of my career was my involvement in the transition of Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation’s new headquarters in 2016. I played a key role in both the fit-out design and the complex communications strategy that facilitated the seamless move of around 700 employees from multiple offices across Abu Dhabi into a single building. This project involved months of meticulous preparation, from designing and outfitting workspaces, boardrooms, and rest areas, to ensuring effective communication from leadership down to administrative staff. My dual focus on design and strategic messaging ensured a smooth and cohesive transition for everyone involved.
